NYFW Part I

Every year the women of NEW YORK leave the past behind and look forward to the future... this is known as  FASHION WEEK. - Carrie Bradshaw

I had the privilege this year to go to several different shows all around the city. When I say it was overwhelming yet a gracious, beautiful, amazing blessing, I mean it. I met so many individuals even a few bloggers and stylist I admire. I will be doing a special segment these next few weeks dedicated to NYFW, showcasing the shows I went to as well as what I wore. Enjoy!

SAUNDER S/S 2015

The first show on my list was Saunder S/S 2015.  It was filled with rhinestones, long wraps, bomber jackets, shorts, maxi dresses and peplum dresses to die for. I adored the green dress (below) worn by this lovely model. The pop of pink on her lips completed the look making it cute yet very stylish.

Emily, the designer of Saunder, played with the latest trends like fringe, deep v cuts, shorts with oversize blouses, etc. She even had fun with the accessories like earcuffs, arm bands and cute jeweled purses. This was a sweet way to start off my journey through NYFW.

AMIR TAGHI S/S 2015

Next show on my list was Amir Taghi S/S 2015. His silhouettes alone caught my eye.

His focus was capturing the essence of a women using hues of lilac, cream, black and white. Mixing fabrication of light weight knits and chiffon, while adding sequins and lace into the looks. This collection was soft, delicate, yet powerful.

This Black and white look below was my favorite. Classic yet elegant, with a sexy surprise in the back. See-thru sequins which added a dash of glam to this elegant look. Amazzinggg!

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Zara Flats on a New Journey

I'm on fire and I need this hydrate to cool me off! You know why, because I'm back guys! I'm back and I brought my bestfriend along and his name is Jesus. Let me let you in on what's been going on for the past two months. I have been engulfed in my church, a church that is beyond amazing. The Rock Church ! It’s not your typical church! It’s non-denominational and not religious. It is more so about building a relationship with God and understanding he said come as you are! Meaning he loves you for you! Wow, someone who loves me for me, mistakes and all.

Places to Go: Rosa Mexicano

One thing you guys will soon learn about me is that I love food. I love going out to eat to but I also like cooking at home as well. However, eating out is an experience. Like my bestfriend would say it’s a performance like a play, once it’s over it’s over. You never get the dish made the same again, its always slightly different.
