Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

What's so amazing is how this one day brings so much cheer into people's heart.  It's a Christmas miracle.

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

What to Wear // Opaque Hosiery

Colder days adds on the worry of putting your favorite pencil skirt away for the season. Folding up next to summer dresses and cute rompers. You reminisce about the sunny days and they way you felt when your word that cute cocktail dress the night you and your girls met that guy from t.v,. Why must it end. Colder days require solutions that are as simple as pie. Pull out a pair of black tights and watch your look come back to life.

How to Style // Faux Fur Vest

Tis' the season to wear faux fur. A piece that never goes out of style, great to have and comes in many variations. From coats, hats, scarfs to stoles, etc. It is such a great staple to have in your winter wardrobe.

What to Wear // Winter Accesories

When its cold outside, all I want is my hat and scarf. Ooo Oooo! Ha! I'm such a song bird and love it. Seriously though, its getting colder and colder these days and if your like me you need warmth. I personal can't through the winter without my hate, gloves and especially my scarf.

Holiday Special // Gifts for Him & Her

Making a list, checking it twice! Making sure Auntie Anna and Chrissy get something nice! Santa Joy is coming to town! Ha! Yes, I'm such a corny Christmas lover but hey it's the holidays! What a great time to be filled with joy! Especially looking for gifts. Me personally I love getting things that go exactly with each person I'm getting!

Embracing ME // Trench Coat

I realize how in this world you can get so caught up in wanting to be like someone else. How about when you begin to look at someone who inspire you and later it ends up you mimicking exactly what they do. I realize through Christ how important it is not to rely on man. Let's be honest we are fickle creatures, one minute we are hot next minute were cold. Half of the time we think we know what we want but we really don't.

Holiday Special // Stocking Stuffers

Travel Guide | Destination Vegas Baby

Recently, I came across Las Vegas Hotel search for their Ultimate Vegas Outfit. I was skeptical at first, thinking what can I do in Vegas. However, I decided to give it a chance and look over the information. It's important to know that God doesn't say you can't have fun, He continuously speaks about using discernment and making wise choices for your life.  After doing my my research I saw there was so much to do in Vegas, so much that I decided to show you what you could do and what to wear if you took a 4 day trip to Vegas.

How to Style // Restyle Cardigan

The holidays are here and for those on a budget like me, this is the best time to rework pieces in your wardrobe.  This blog is about learning how to maximize every piece in your wardrobe. Finding timeless pieces and learning how to build looks around it.

Accessory of the Week // Wrap Bracelets

I have such a thing when it comes to jewelry but honestly,  I can say that about a lot of items. However, this week I'm currently obsessing over wrap bracelets.

Feature Friday // Pepper & Life

LET ME TELL YOU HOW GOOD MY GOD IS.

Accessory of the Week // The Weekender Bag

As you walk into your favorite clothing store, you hear Christmas music playing. Snowflakes designs on the walls of local coffee shops and hair salons and you begin to wonder where has the year gone. No need or time to wonder now because it's time to pack your bags, grab your charger and head to the nearest airline.

How to Style // Emerald Cardigan

Once upon a time, there was a young woman living in New York City. She was full of life and ambition. Every year she would hit the pavements spreading joy and cheer. She was the sun to the shine in the city. But one day a wicked witch came and cursed the land, making it cold on her birthday till the new year. The young woman was angst didn't know what to do. Then out of no where a great fairy appeared to grant one wish. the young woman said 'I wish to have the most warm and cozy cardigan in all the land." Her wish was granted.

Accesory of the Week // Alex & Ani

Running home after school with report card in one hand and a joy in your heart. You get home to show your parents how much you achieved.  They take pride and joy in their  baby girl so the next day they take you out shopping. They find a trinket that's more that an enough to show how proud they are. A simple charm of achievement, that showcase how proud they are and motivates you to forever achieve the best and accomplish every goal you ever put forward. This is just a speck of what some little girls dream of.

Sporty Cardigan

There is such a thing as cute and comfortable. On days when you don't know what to wear or you want to be comfortable but you think comfortable is sweatpants and a t-shirt. Well i have some news for you. That is a total lie!

15 Ankle Boots You Must Try

For the past well let's say a month in a half,  I have been back and forth between online and in-store looking for the perfect ankle boot. Specifically because all I currently have in my closet are heels. Boots with heels, stilettos, pumps, etc and the only flat shoe I have are my running and training sneakers. Definitely, can't wear that to work. So, you can see my feet has been crying for a relief.

What to Wear // Basic Layering

Who says fall wasn't easy to fall into. Like any other blogger would say I love the fall because it's layering season. But let's be real, it's the time where we're finding everything and anything to wear because we just want to stay warm. Especially living in New York City, it gets really cold and the weather jumps from warm to cold all through the ending months.

Accessory of the Week // Bucket Bag

It's no secret women just love bags. Bags are literally a girls right hand man. Having the job of holding everything we need in one place. No matter what kind of lifestyle, from school teacher to doctor, student to artist, we just can't function without our bags. These days I been wanting to carry less and less. So, I needed a bag that can fit my key essential while still being cute.

What to Wear // Long Cardigan

Photo By: @Briwrks  Model: @jseivad  Cardigan: Banana Republic  The cardigan, once a two-piece set combination added with a camisole or suit now has become a  stylish staple. You might ask what's the difference, it's always been apart of style. Well it's not necessarily the piece but how it has been enhanced. The look has moved from short to long. The length is now what has everyone currently looking for their perfect pair.

What to Wear // Ponchos

Once the unwearable piece in the back of your grandmothers closet, now the hottest piece of the season. Ponchos are this Falls "It Girl". What I love is the versatility and various styles.  From button ones, to embroidery, beaded to cable knit, having a poncho will fit all looks and look great on everyone.

JOYS DAY

GUESS WHAT? It's my birthday!  All I want to say is thank you Jesus I have lived twenty six beautiful years. However, what I'm truly happy about is that I can say I am two years old in Christ now. Wow, I remember just yesterday when I moved back to New York all I wanted was to make my life better, find God and grow my business. Who knew that God would fulfill my promise and put me right where I needed to be.

Big Skirts & Moto Coats

It is my favorite time of the year. I know it sounds like a line from a Christmas song but it's true. I just love the fact that you can layer and play with your style during the fall season. There is nothing more fun than reworking pieces from your spring/summer wardrobe into your fall/winter wardrobe. This I believe helps you experiment with your style and also, helps you to save money. Especially, if your on a budget like me! Also, learning to take your staple wow pieces and making them work for every season. There is nothing I love more than big skirts and cool coats.

Pleated Pencil Skirt

Cherishing the few sunny days we have before the cold weather begins to kick in. I remember when I wanted to move to Florida when I was little. I wanted to escape the cold, but then I heard they had earthquakes. Let's just say my mind changed after that.

Stripes & Culottes

NYFW this year was such a blessing. Way more than I could have dreamed. However, between the move of the shows from Lincoln Center to actually buildings it made it difficult to commute back and forth. I didn't know whether I was coming or going this week. It was a bit difficult to keep up with my looks as well due to my work schedule. However, I was able to capture this one which was my favorite look from the whole week. And guess what Jesus styled me!!!!

What to Wear // Not So Casual Saturday

Layering is my favorite thing to do during the fall season. I believe layering is where you truly develop your style as well as build on looks you've created before. Key pieces are what I focus on always, things that will benefit your wardrobe.

What to Wear // Fall New Arrivals

We have one more month of summer left , but that doesn't mean we can't begin to shop for the fall season.  I did some online pre-shopping and picked out my favorites from the pre-fall collection that are in stores. My goal as a woman and a stylist is to always think before buying. So, to help I put together a list of my top picks and how to style them.

Vintage Is Sweet

Dresses are not the front runner of my closet. However, more and more lately I've been wanting to explore my cutesy side. As woman we many hats, do in essence we have various looks. We have to dress for each occasion that's our lifestyle. So it's important to understand style and what works on your body. I've recently decided to add more segments to the black g include How to Style, What to Wear and Wardrobe Essential so be sure to look out for those post.

What to Wear // Summer 9 to 5

Summer calls for maxi skirts, crop tops, and bathing suits, but if your like me stead fast in your career or job you have to continue to wear blazers and pants. It can get very hot especially if your not a skirt wearer. For me a skirt wearer is a women who owns about more than fifty percent more skirts than dress pants. I am complete opposite. I own about ninety percent dress pants more than skirts. So, It is important to learn how to dress for each season. Today focus is summer suiting.

Metropolitan Museum // China Through the Looking Glass

During my trip to the met museum I had the privilege of checking out the latest exhibition; China through the Looking Glass. The exhibition showcases how Chinese cultural has impact the Western fashion world. With various designs made by designers like Paul Poiret to Yves Saint Laurent, we see how the Chinese cultural has inspired Western designers.

Places to Go // The Metropolitan Museum

Summer in the city is almost always the best. Picnics at the park, kayaking trips, beach outings, etc. It also a great time to check out some amazing exhibits at the museum. For the past oh year I have been trying to make a trip, but it would always get pushed back or just didn't have the money. Recently one of dear friends who I love more than gum drops and candy canes, invite me to visit the Metropolitan Museum with her. So, I just had to share with you guys my favorite, exhibits culture. I also got to see the Fashion Exhibit: China thru the looking Glass. You can check out photos and details of that in the next post.

Print Maxi Dress

Days when you just want to wear nothing on hot days I recommend a maxi dress. I was getting ready for one of my dear friends surprise party and had a moment where I just didn't know what to wear. Mainly because it was so hot outside. I didn't want to wear jeans, I don't own shorts. I know shocking right but we will talk more about that later. So going through my closet I found this gem. I received from a fashion show I worked in 2013.

On the Runway // Resort 2016

It's amazing how the fashion calendar is so different from the consumer calendar. In fashion the calendar is a year ahead. So, while the average consumer is shopping during the year, the designers are creating for the following year. Hence, why all fashion weeks showcase designs a year ahead. It's so buyers, retailers, etc, can have time to look at the new looks and pick what they believe will sell.

How to Style // Pinstripe Pant

It is amazing what you can do if you just think outside the box. Summer is here and the goal is to keep things cool and cute. I decide to restyle my pinstripe pant from the previous post. Showing you how to take a sophisticated piece  and use it in a casual look.

Health // Fruit Water

As you may or may not know I have begun my journey of eating healthy and exercising in the efforts of living a more cleaner and healthier lifestyle. I can honestly say, I am happy I am working towards that goal. Some days are better than others. The biggest lesson I learn so far is to not give up, no matter what. I decide that I like to share my journey with you beautiful people, in hopes to help encourage myself as well as others. On the plate today, is actually a drink! Can you guess, even though I wrote it in the title!  Yes, Water!!! Enjoy!!!

Pinstripe Pant Suit

There is nothing I love more than a great matching suit, well except Jesus. He he. I love matching suits because you can create so, many different looks with both separates, which I will showcase in another post.  My favorite thing about pant suits is that they are elegant yet fun. This one in partially I love because the blazer has an amazing peplum detail in the back. Also it comes in at the waist just right adding more definition to you curves. It's partner is a low waist, wide leg pant. I just adore these pants because they are fun and flirty. They have just the right amount of room to move, yet still flatters your body.

Decor & Thangs // Crate & Barrel

Yesterday, while I waited for my client I decided randomly to make a trip into Crate & Barrel. I can honestly say it is my favorite place to go. It is a creative interior decorators dream. At least I believe so. I'm secretly an interior decorator. One of the many dreams I have is to buy homes and redecorate them. Also, I would be lying to you if I said I wasn't excited to get married just to decorate my house. One problem, you actually need a husband in order for that to work. Silly me, but until then I'll settle for sketching my place and online shopping. He he. During my trip I found many beautiful things I just couldn't resist to take photos. Here are a few of my favorite things. As well as my look for the day. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Shades of Blue

Hey blog readers! I wanted to say I love each and everyone of you who take time out to read my blog and comment. The biggest thing I value in any relationship is honesty and truth. That's why I keep this page real and honest, no sugar coating. Heres the real deal, I never wanted to post this, interesting right.

Rosy Spring Palette

Business attire is usually thought of as the plain black, grey, charcoal theme. The same matching pant and suit look, can we say just a tad bit boring. Since spring has spring I decided to put a little rosy twist on the look. I believe that a sophisticated look is what you should aim for. This in its borden your choices when it comes to styling a look.

Woman with Faith

Faith. Faith is what people have the hardest time with. One day we feel like we can conquer the world, the next day we feel like things can't get any worst. Should faith really be this up and down battle? Can you have a continuous  level of faith or are we forever trap by this up and down motion?

Wardrobe Essentials // Spring 2015

A few more days before Spring and I realize it's time to fix my spring/summer wardrobe. The biggest thing you want is pieces that you can wear from spring into summer. So, it's best to shop a more spring closet then summer. In the summer your wearing less pieces so, your spring wardrobe will take care of because you'll have everything and then some. Here, I compressed a true to the mind spring wardrobe essential closet  that every women can work with. I also  include ways to style several pieces. In hopes you can get an overall idea and go from there. Anything you believe I missed or have thoughts/questions on feel free to email me! Other than that enjoy!!!

Color Me Happy

Spring is here, at least it's starting to feel like it.  I know a few of us have mixed feelings. Some are loving the fact that we will no longer have snow and gusty winds. However, some of us are dreading the fact that this means short skirts, loose dresses and attractive people mixed with not so secure people on the streets. I say that because honestly, we are all beautiful but we all have that one thing that makes us feel uncomfortable. That's why some people wear sweaters in the summer; some avoid hangouts with friends, or even those who stay under the radar with a pile of work.

To be honestly I really don't plan any of my outfits. It's truly a gift from God to know what works and doesn't work. A gift that decided to enhance and build by studying, and practicing hands on. Right now I'm at a stage where I truly want to help people with finding their own personal style, loving themselves and ultimately living a better life. She's Timeless

A STRONG WOMAN is one who feels deeply and loveeee fiercely. Her tears flow just as abundantly as her laughter. A STRONG WOMAN is both soft and powerfu, she is both practical and spiritual. A STRONG WOMAN in her essence is a gift to the world.

Firmoo // Reading is Fashionable

Productivity is something you can't just wish for. It requires action. Often we have it's foe procrastination coming in and trying to stop us before we even start. Procrastination for me has been my biggest issue. Knowing when to get up and go and honestly that's literally what you need to do. Get up and go.
