What to Wear // Summer 9 to 5

Summer calls for maxi skirts, crop tops, and bathing suits, but if your like me stead fast in your career or job you have to continue to wear blazers and pants. It can get very hot especially if your not a skirt wearer. For me a skirt wearer is a women who owns about more than fifty percent more skirts than dress pants. I am complete opposite. I own about ninety percent dress pants more than skirts. So, It is important to learn how to dress for each season. Today focus is summer suiting.

For the past oh year I have been trying to make a trip, but it would always get pushed back or just didn't have the money. Recently one of dear friends who I love more than gum drops and candy canes, invite me to visit the Metropolitan Museum with her. So, I just had to share with you guys my favorite, exhibits culture. I also got to see the Fashion Exhibit: China thru the looking Glass. You can check out photos and details of that in the next post.

Print Maxi Dress

Days when you just want to wear nothing on hot days I recommend a maxi dress. I was getting ready for one of my dear friends surprise party and had a moment where I just didn't know what to wear. Mainly because it was so hot outside. I didn't want to wear jeans, I don't own shorts. I know shocking right but we will talk more about that later. So going through my closet I found this gem. I received from a fashion show I worked in 2013.

On the Runway // Resort 2016

It's amazing how the fashion calendar is so different from the consumer calendar. In fashion the calendar is a year ahead. So, while the average consumer is shopping during the year, the designers are creating for the following year. Hence, why all fashion weeks showcase designs a year ahead. It's so buyers, retailers, etc, can have time to look at the new looks and pick what they believe will sell.
