Big Skirts & Moto Coats

It is my favorite time of the year. I know it sounds like a line from a Christmas song but it's true. I just love the fact that you can layer and play with your style during the fall season. There is nothing more fun than reworking pieces from your spring/summer wardrobe into your fall/winter wardrobe. This I believe helps you experiment with your style and also, helps you to save money. Especially, if your on a budget like me! Also, learning to take your staple wow pieces and making them work for every season. There is nothing I love more than big skirts and cool coats.

Whenever I get a chance to rework my favorite pieces I get really excited. This skirt is one of my favorites! It is the oh la la piece that can take a look from cool to wow. I first style this elegant piece in my post, The Limited Cardigan Isn't So Limited , this season I restyled it and wore it to NYFW. It was a bit chilly so, I figure why not pull out my new moto jacket from Banana Republic.
What I love about this piece is the material, it is funky and cool and the fit is perfect.

Tips to for this Season: Learn to transition your summer pieces into a fall look.  For example, you can take a dress and turn it into a top, adding a pant, high boots, long cardigan and a trench coat. You now go from summer time fun to fall chic.

It means nothing if you have a closet full of clothes but you don't know how to wear it.

NYFW Part I

Every year the women of NEW YORK leave the past behind and look forward to the future... this is known as  FASHION WEEK. - Carrie Bradshaw I had the privilege this year to go to several different shows all around the city. When I say it was overwhelming yet a gracious, beautiful, amazing blessing, I mean it. I met so many individuals even a few bloggers and stylist I admire. I will be doing a special segment these next few weeks dedicated to NYFW, showcasing the shows I went to as well as what I wore. Enjoy!

How to Style // Highwaist Pants

How many of you ladies still have pooch trouble. You know "pooch", it's the daunting bottom of your midsection area that is not always visible unless your wearing something formfitting. It's the little area that if you could just slide it off you would be able to have the six pack you always wanted. Luckily, there are several  clothing that can camouflage this section while it's still under construction. Even if it's not under construction it is great to have a pair of items that flatters rather than gather.
