How to D.I.Y // Pom Pom Sandals

When you hear pom-poms you usually  connected them with cheerleading! This season they have made it's way into the fashion community! From tops, bags, shoes and even shorts!!! I'm going gaga over pom-poms! So, much so it has been tugging on my heart to get something with them. However, I'm currently on a save as much money as I can budget because I'm getting a new place! So, I decided instead of purchasing a bag or shoe with pom-poms! I'll just make my own!!!

It's a lot cheaper and I get to designed it the way I want. I chose to work with this green single sole sandal I purchase from Zara two years ago! Yes two years!!! I know they look like I never even wore them! That's because I mostly wear them when I have photoshoots! For me certain things are investments towards my career, this was one of those things! For the pom-pom, I stopped by M & J Trimming to pick up a few. They didn't have what I wanted but then I found a knit roll of string that had pom-poms hanging off. I decided to grab that and rip the pom-poms off. I'm going to turn the knit string into a choker! So, look out for photos in the near future!

Here's how you can make your own D.I.Y Pom Pom Sandals in three easy steps!

What you need:
Heel
Pom-Pom
Glue Gun

Step 1
Grab your heel and pick out your favorite Pom Pom!!

Step 2
Plug your glue gun! When it's hot, place the glue where you would like the pom-poms to sit!

Step 3
Place pom-pom on top of the glue. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 till shoe is covered the way you want)

Once pair is completely cover, place it to dry! And voila,  your pom-pom sandals are ready!!!

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Stripes & Culottes

NYFW this year was such a blessing. Way more than I could have dreamed. However, between the move of the shows from Lincoln Center to actually buildings it made it difficult to commute back and forth. I didn't know whether I was coming or going this week. It was a bit difficult to keep up with my looks as well due to my work schedule. However, I was able to capture this one which was my favorite look from the whole week. And guess what Jesus styled me!!!!

Accesory of the Week // Alex & Ani

Running home after school with report card in one hand and a joy in your heart. You get home to show your parents how much you achieved.  They take pride and joy in their  baby girl so the next day they take you out shopping. They find a trinket that's more that an enough to show how proud they are. A simple charm of achievement, that showcase how proud they are and motivates you to forever achieve the best and accomplish every goal you ever put forward. This is just a speck of what some little girls dream of.
