Accesory of the Week // Alex & Ani

Running home after school with report card in one hand and a joy in your heart. You get home to show your parents how much you achieved.  They take pride and joy in their  baby girl so the next day they take you out shopping. They find a trinket that's more that an enough to show how proud they are. A simple charm of achievement, that showcase how proud they are and motivates you to forever achieve the best and accomplish every goal you ever put forward. This is just a speck of what some little girls dream of.

I've always been in love with charm bracelets, ever since I was little. I imagine having a charm for every accomplishment and milestone I made in my life. This for me was my reminder to never give up and always aim for success. After years of collecting, I ended up losing all of my charm bracelets in a bad relationship. After they were gone the love for charms went away for a while I didn't think or collect any charms for three years. It wasn't till a month ago I saw my manager wearing theses beautiful bracelets with so many charms.

I was intrigue but I didn't want to ask so, I just pushed it to the back of my mind. Who knew in next couple of weeks I would continue to see these charms on every woman I met, from work to church, they were every where. Finally, I went and asked my boss where did she get those bracelets, and she said Alex and Ani.

I immediately fell in love and wanted to know more. Alex and Ani is a jewelry and accessory company that is about creating meaningful and eco- conscious pieces to empower and connect with the community and individuals.  Each designed made with love and care, are design specifically with an idea. An idea that speaks to a vast amount of individuals in different ways. Founded by Carolyn Rafaelian, her goal was to create a brand that exude positive energy  and being a living testimony that anything is possible with hard work and positive mind.

What I love about this company the most is that each charm has a story and can be a different story for the client who purchases it. I love that they continue building my launching another line called Charity by Design. They are specific charms that are dedicated to charities, where proceeds from those charms go to the charities the charms were inspired by. The program is dedicated to raising funds and spreading awareness about that non-profit organization. Personally for me that hit my heart because that something I want to be apart of in the future. All products are made in the U.S and handcrafted to fit every type of personality. From the eco-friendly tree lover to the avid football fanatic. Alex and Ani is made for everybody.

My love for charms has now grown and I personally can't wait to start collecting. Recently one of my co-workers bought me my very first Alex and Ani charm for my birthday. It was so prophetic, she got me the living water charm. For me, that hit my heart because it symbolic for my walk with God. How Jesus is the living water and when we drink from him we shall no longer be in thirst.

"..those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life." - John 4:14

It brought me to tears when I saw it. I love and adore it. I am currently now looking to have a complete set, next up is the Tree of Life charm. Here are a few more bracelets I am looking to purchase.  They also have make rings, necklaces and more, you can find it all at  Alex And Ani. Enjoy!!!!!

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Zara Flats on a New Journey

I'm on fire and I need this hydrate to cool me off! You know why, because I'm back guys! I'm back and I brought my bestfriend along and his name is Jesus. Let me let you in on what's been going on for the past two months. I have been engulfed in my church, a church that is beyond amazing. The Rock Church ! It’s not your typical church! It’s non-denominational and not religious. It is more so about building a relationship with God and understanding he said come as you are! Meaning he loves you for you! Wow, someone who loves me for me, mistakes and all.

Places to Go: Rosa Mexicano

One thing you guys will soon learn about me is that I love food. I love going out to eat to but I also like cooking at home as well. However, eating out is an experience. Like my bestfriend would say it’s a performance like a play, once it’s over it’s over. You never get the dish made the same again, its always slightly different.
