Color Me Happy

Spring is here, at least it's starting to feel like it.  I know a few of us have mixed feelings. Some are loving the fact that we will no longer have snow and gusty winds. However, some of us are dreading the fact that this means short skirts, loose dresses and attractive people mixed with not so secure people on the streets. I say that because honestly, we are all beautiful but we all have that one thing that makes us feel uncomfortable. That's why some people wear sweaters in the summer; some avoid hangouts with friends, or even those who stay under the radar with a pile of work.

You may wonder why I am talking about this. Simple, I was crossing the street on my way to my usual Starbucks one afternoon around 5 at 14 Street Union Square. As I am walking I noticed the park is packed with skaters, music, campaigns and tons of people. It was the first day the weather has been beautiful and it hit me spring was here. As I'm crossing the street, I realized I want winter back because it was less work to be cute. Then it made me realize I still have some insecurities. I should love that it's spring. Honestly, we all still have those little insecurities that make us want to run under a rock, but in reality we shouldn't.

I wrote a list down before I left my house. It was a task my mentor told me to do. I was to write down all the things I loved about myself and all the positive things I am.  As I continue to cross the street I began to repeat the list over in my head and realize I am what I say I am. I am beautiful, confident, talented, smart, driven, successful. I deserve the world, because I am a child of God. God created every inch of me, and every inch is beautiful. In that moment I felt good, I felt great, I loved myself.

Loving yourself is an everyday task. There are so many things trying to defeat you. You must remember they won't and can't win because you already won! The moment God sent his son! We won. You sit on the right hand of Jesus Christ. You are forever loved and nothing in this world can change that. (Romans 8:38-39) You deserve it all, trust and believe. Install in yourself a positive mindset. Every day say positive things, look on the bright side, say one thing your grateful for. The more you do it the more it will become natural and you'll feel better and one day you realize you haven't had a negative thought in days, months, years! Oh HAPPY DAY.

No matter what we are going through we have to remember our God is greater. Our God is greater than any insecurity, any problems, any thing someone else has to say. Our God is greater.

Color me happy I find joy in my God. Colors are the biggest thing I thank god for because colors just make me smile, keep my joy alive, I take every opportunity to be colorful. I think that's why he called me Joy! Joy to the world.

Zaful x Jseivad // Leaf Boho Dress

Every get the feeling of "what's next?" It's a question I asked myself recently because the summer was over and it felt like a chapter in my life was over. It was as if I walked into a new season and I felt it!

Zara Flats on a New Journey

I'm on fire and I need this hydrate to cool me off! You know why, because I'm back guys! I'm back and I brought my bestfriend along and his name is Jesus. Let me let you in on what's been going on for the past two months. I have been engulfed in my church, a church that is beyond amazing. The Rock Church ! It’s not your typical church! It’s non-denominational and not religious. It is more so about building a relationship with God and understanding he said come as you are! Meaning he loves you for you! Wow, someone who loves me for me, mistakes and all.

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.
