Rosy Spring Palette

Business attire is usually thought of as the plain black, grey, charcoal theme. The same matching pant and suit look, can we say just a tad bit boring. Since spring has spring I decided to put a little rosy twist on the look. I believe that a sophisticated look is what you should aim for. This in its borden your choices when it comes to styling a look.
My tip when shopping for blazers to is to make sure it is tailored. Tailored in the sense it fits your shape. You also want to make sure that it leaves just a enough space to move around in. Peplum blazers are currently my favorite, but you can never go wrong with a classic blazer. YOu want something that comes in at the waist the flares out just a little at the bottom, especially if you have hips. This essential will give you an amazing silhouette.

Color is always my choice, go for either a positive contrast or a negative contrast. Positive is bright colors with its lighter counter parts. Negative is dark colors with its rich counter parts. Color theory is something to know if your invested in learning more. Look forward to seeing post about color stories in the near future, with tips and tricks on just getting it right.

Styling this blazer was all about highlighting my curves without bringing attention to what some would say are flaws. As a woman, looking our very best is often the goal. The best thing you want to do is look smart. For this look, I chose to wear this  back scoop neck blouse from  Ann Taylor. The color matches the pinstripes color of the blazer. To complete the look I went with these red straight leg pant from loft. Ladies, my ladies with curves if your looking for dress pants, this is the place to go.

Finished the look with some red pumps, keeping the hue light to dark going from top to bottom. Thrown on some shades and you have a business look ready for any office.

NYFW Part I

Every year the women of NEW YORK leave the past behind and look forward to the future... this is known as  FASHION WEEK. - Carrie Bradshaw I had the privilege this year to go to several different shows all around the city. When I say it was overwhelming yet a gracious, beautiful, amazing blessing, I mean it. I met so many individuals even a few bloggers and stylist I admire. How to Style // Highwaist Pants

How many of you ladies still have pooch trouble. You know "pooch", it's the daunting bottom of your midsection area that is not always visible unless your wearing something formfitting. It's the little area that if you could just slide it off you would be able to have the six pack you always wanted. Luckily, there are several  clothing that can camouflage this section while it's still under construction. Even if it's not under construction it is great to have a pair of items that flatters rather than gather.
