How to Style // Emerald Cardigan

Once upon a time, there was a young woman living in New York City. She was full of life and ambition. Every year she would hit the pavements spreading joy and cheer. She was the sun to the shine in the city. But one day a wicked witch came and cursed the land, making it cold on her birthday till the new year. The young woman was angst didn't know what to do. Then out of no where a great fairy appeared to grant one wish. the young woman said 'I wish to have the most warm and cozy cardigan in all the land." Her wish was granted.

Ha! If only my life was a fairy tale and all I had to worry about was staying warm. But seriously, staying warm in the city is a challenge, but if you try hard enough you can.

I was drooling as I was going over my favorite Cardigans in the post, What to Wear // Long Cardigan I recently bought the Emerald Green and the Sporty Cardigan from Banana Republic. I love how this one is so cozy and warm.  A great way to style a cardigan like this is going for a lighter button up and denim jeans. My theme was casual Wednesday. Here, I paired my chambray shirt from J.Jill, with my blue wash denim jeans from H&M. I wore these awesome combat boots from Target designed by Missoni.  It was a casual look. Another way, to wear this cardigan, say you want to wear it a little more dresser. You can wear a maxi dress paired with a lighter way draped cardigan. Then wear the emerald cardigan, belt it around your waist with a thin belt, add a pump or ankle boot, a beautiful gold chain and your ready to go out for the evening.

It's great being short honestly because even the garments that should come to the knee on the average women it comes to the ankles for us. And as you know from previous post I love length. There are a few more that i'm eyeing on my list but I have to take a slight pause and get other things I truly need, like skirts. Next up, skirt shopping wish me luck!!

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

I'm on fire and I need this hydrate to cool me off! You know why, because I'm back guys! I'm back and I brought my bestfriend along and his name is Jesus. Let me let you in on what's been going on for the past two months. I have been engulfed in my church, a church that is beyond amazing. The Rock Church ! It’s not your typical church! It’s non-denominational and not religious. It is more so about building a relationship with God and understanding he said come as you are! Meaning he loves you for you! Wow, someone who loves me for me, mistakes and all.

Places to Go: Rosa Mexicano

One thing you guys will soon learn about me is that I love food. I love going out to eat to but I also like cooking at home as well. However, eating out is an experience. Like my bestfriend would say it’s a performance like a play, once it’s over it’s over. You never get the dish made the same again, its always slightly different.
