Embracing ME // Trench Coat

I realize how in this world you can get so caught up in wanting to be like someone else. How about when you begin to look at someone who inspire you and later it ends up you mimicking exactly what they do. I realize through Christ how important it is not to rely on man. Let's be honest we are fickle creatures, one minute we are hot next minute were cold. Half of the time we think we know what we want but we really don't.

The other day I did my morning devotions, for those who do not know morning devotions is when you pick one to two chapters to study in the bible. I was told to study 1st John by my mentor specifically for that day. So I did, a part I want to share with you was something I feel we all go through. It's listening to other people. The thing is when your walking with God it's so important that you watch your spirit and be careful who you listen to. You have to trust God and not listen to everyone because you do not know what there intentions are or if it even would be something you need to hear. What someone could say could leave you astray so it so important to build your spirit and lean on God for all.

When I review what I learned with my leader. She asked me how I could apply to my life, my career. That's when I realize it's the same thing, if I go chasing after the biggest blogger and listen to what they say on how I can grow my blog or change my style I am ultimately going in the wrong direction. They are leading me astray, everything does not work for everyone. What I need to do was trust in God that he had every part of career from blogging to sewing, school and styling.

He was the one who switch everything up to begin with. He was the one who brought me my clients when I never know how I to find it. Often we get distracted by the world and we want to ask everyone who made it how they did but the thing is, it may not always work. If you even slightly change your style or how you write to someone else you become a false you. You are no longer genuine but just doing what everyone does. So I tell you trust in God, trust in the process. Yes it's good to learn the basics, but don't chase or compare yourself to others. Your path is completed all you are doing is living it trust God and know everything will be fine.

  1. Jseivad, this is such a wonderful post, everything about it; from the words you've shared to your outfit and setting!

I couldn't agree more with not following the exact path that someone took to get to THEIR success. Sure it's great, like you said, to learn the basics and to get some general advice from leaders in your field. However, each of us have different talents and lifestyle, as well as an overall purpose and the path that worked for someone, usually won't work for someone else.

As for your outfit, I love those cobalt pants paired with the black and white striped shirt, so beautiful! You look absolutely gorgeous :)

I hope you have a wonderful day ahead, beauty, and thanks so much for sharing such wise and encouraging words!

    XO,

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Zara Flats on a New Journey

I'm on fire and I need this hydrate to cool me off! You know why, because I'm back guys! I'm back and I brought my bestfriend along and his name is Jesus. Let me let you in on what's been going on for the past two months. I have been engulfed in my church, a church that is beyond amazing. The Rock Church ! It’s not your typical church! It’s non-denominational and not religious. It is more so about building a relationship with God and understanding he said come as you are! Meaning he loves you for you! Wow, someone who loves me for me, mistakes and all.
