What to Wear // Summer 9 to 5

Summer calls for maxi skirts, crop tops, and bathing suits, but if your like me stead fast in your career or job you have to continue to wear blazers and pants. It can get very hot especially if your not a skirt wearer. For me a skirt wearer is a women who owns about more than fifty percent more skirts than dress pants. I am complete opposite. I own about ninety percent dress pants more than skirts. So, It is important to learn how to dress for each season. Today focus is summer suiting.

Here I went with a pastel blue peplum blazer, cream ruffle blouse and royal blue pant. Each piece tailored to fit my body keeping the look professional yet modern. To complete the look I added these pink pumps for fun. To give you more of a summer vibe, stick with pastel and bright colors. Colors that compliment you while still remaining professional. If your in finance or corporate non-fashion job, I suggest going with nudes, cream, off grey, red and blue but in lighter tones. Remain in the tailor section, choosing  blouses that are light weight, sleeveless and have a soft base color. These are perfect to wear, especially after work,  you can pull your blazer off and go. If you don't like sleeveless, you can get sheer long sleeve secretary blouse and wear a camisole underneath.

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Stripes & Culottes

NYFW this year was such a blessing. Way more than I could have dreamed. However, between the move of the shows from Lincoln Center to actually buildings it made it difficult to commute back and forth. I didn't know whether I was coming or going this week. It was a bit difficult to keep up with my looks as well due to my work schedule. However, I was able to capture this one which was my favorite look from the whole week. And guess what Jesus styled me!!!!

Accesory of the Week // Alex & Ani

Running home after school with report card in one hand and a joy in your heart. You get home to show your parents how much you achieved.  They take pride and joy in their  baby girl so the next day they take you out shopping. They find a trinket that's more that an enough to show how proud they are. A simple charm of achievement, that showcase how proud they are and motivates you to forever achieve the best and accomplish every goal you ever put forward. This is just a speck of what some little girls dream of.
