Vintage Is Sweet

Dresses are not the front runner of my closet. However, more and more lately I've been wanting to explore my cutesy side. As woman we many hats, do in essence we have various looks. We have to dress for each occasion that's our lifestyle. So it's important to understand style and what works on your body. I've recently decided to add more segments to the black g include How to Style, What to Wear and Wardrobe Essential so be sure to look out for those post.

This dress I found at L Train Vintage in Manhattan. It cost me only ten dollars, so you know I couldn't just leave it there. I love the fact that it has a 40 flare from the sleeveless cuff, to the button up on the bodice if the dress, and slight lapel collar. It's just too cute. I bought it about 6 months back and never wore it because the weather wasn't right. What I love us the length, sophiscated yet girly. The midi length is the look of the season, from skirts to dresses you can't go wrong when it comes to this length. And it works for every height, especially short woman. It gives you a longer look especially if you wear the skirt, like a high waist. Too cute. I'll be showcasing my favorite midis in the next post so be sure to check it out.

Holiday Style // Love Red

Classic red is just a style tradition. You can't go without wearing red during the holiday season. It's about as normal as drinking water.  What I love is the variations of red. This coat was one I got last year from my church. It was around the time I really wasn't working and couldn't afford to get a warm coat.

Stripes & Culottes

NYFW this year was such a blessing. Way more than I could have dreamed. However, between the move of the shows from Lincoln Center to actually buildings it made it difficult to commute back and forth. I didn't know whether I was coming or going this week. It was a bit difficult to keep up with my looks as well due to my work schedule. However, I was able to capture this one which was my favorite look from the whole week. And guess what Jesus styled me!!!!

Accesory of the Week // Alex & Ani

Running home after school with report card in one hand and a joy in your heart. You get home to show your parents how much you achieved.  They take pride and joy in their  baby girl so the next day they take you out shopping. They find a trinket that's more that an enough to show how proud they are. A simple charm of achievement, that showcase how proud they are and motivates you to forever achieve the best and accomplish every goal you ever put forward. This is just a speck of what some little girls dream of.
